The Park is completely open. This includes all trails and the campground.

All campfires are prohibited. Devices using pressurized liquid or gas (stoves, grills or lanterns) that include shut-off valves are permitted when used in an area at least three feet or more from flammable material such as grasses or pine needles. Smoking is only allowed in an enclosed vehicle.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally occurs Aug 10-13 at Devils Tower. During this time parking is extremely limited. Motorcycles and handicap vehicles can park at the top of the hill in the paved parking all day. A small dirt parking lot is available at the top of the hill as well. Once the dirt parking fills all vehicles that are not motorcycles or handicap vehicles must park in the picnic/campground/ long vehicle parking and take a shuttle up to the visitor center.
Limited Parking at the Visitor Center is monitored by the use of a Stoplight. This light helps meter traffic so that parking spots are available for visitors. Stoplight generally in effect from 10 am to 4 pm. Wait times vary daily.
