All campfires are prohibited. All outdoor fires, including, but not limited to, trash fires, charcoal fires, portable stoves, lanterns using gas, jellied petroleum, pressurized liquid fuel or fully enclosed (sheepherder type) stove and open fire branding activities are prohibited. Smoking shall be restricted to inside vehicles.
Limited Parking at the Visitor Center is monitored by the use of a Stoplight. This light helps meter traffic so that parking spots are available for visitors. Stoplight generally in effect from 10 am to 4 pm. Wait times vary daily.
NORTHEAST FACE climbing routes, the NORTHEAST EDGES of the TOWER SUMMIT, and the NORTH FACE RAPPEL routes are CLOSED. Climbers should be aware of territorial aggression from nesting falcons. If falcons exhibit defensive or distressed behavior, descend off the Tower at the next safe opportunity and report the incident to a ranger or other park employee. Closure effective on May 1, 2026. Routes including and between Adrenaline Surfer and Dr. Zen are CLOSED.
