LBJ Ranch Reopened Sunday, July 19.
Following the flooding which took place July 16, the LBJ Ranch reopened for normal operational hours (9am to 5pm) on Sunday, July 19. The ranch driving route is fully open, and visitors will be able to enter the Junction School and Showbarn as well as view the cemetery and walk to the Reconstructed Birthplace. The sites in the Johnson City District of the park remain open; this includes the national park visitor center and Boyhood Home.
Texas White House Complex Closure
NPS detailsOn January 2, 2024 the Texas White House Complex closed so the construction phase of the Texas White House rehabilitation can begin. The LBJ Ranch driving tour remains open. Visitors can still see the school, cemetery, birthplace and showbarn.
