Come join a Ranger near Sunset Point and learn about the geology of Bryce Canyon. Program typically lasts 20-30 minutes. Wheelchair accessible. This event will be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms, low wind chill, or staffing shortages.
Come join a Ranger at Sunset Point for a rim walk toward Sunrise Point. The talk will be on a random topic of the ranger's choosing, covering natural, cultural, or historical resources. Visitors meet Ranger at alcove to the right of Sunset Point overlook. This program will be cancelled by thunderstorms, extreme cold weather, or staffing shortages. Wheelchair Accessible.

Come join the Telescope Tours! Meet with Astronomy interns and rangers to gaze through varying telescopes upon planets, galaxies, and the stars under the night sky of Bryce Canyon National Park. Ask the rangers at the visitor center for location. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own red lights for visibility, but they can be provided a red-light filter (red cellophane) by the AstroStaff upon arrival. Visitors will be greeted by a member of the AstroStaff, who will inform them of program safety and what they will be experiencing that night. Wheelchair accessible. All ages welcome. No pets.
Meet at Saddlehorn Picnic Area to begin your journey of exploring and learning about our night skies through telescopes and a ranger program. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the program to minimize headlight and flashlight lights. If you have one, use a red flashlight. This will help preserve everyone's night vision. Bring a chair and insect repellant for your comfort. Bringing pets is not recommended due to safety concerns. Service dogs are welcome. This is a weather permitting event and is subject to be cancelled. If the weather is too cloudy for astronomy viewing, the program might be moved to the Saddlehorn Ampitheatre. Just like human minds, the natural world displays a beautiful amount of diversity that makes for interesting discussion and meaningful engagement with the harmonious life around us. This hike invites community members to learn about the biodiversity of the monument and contribute their own knowledge to a judgement-free discussion group. This event aims to be sensory-friendly for neurodivergent individuals. All topics pertaining to the monument are welcome for discussion, including zoology, geology, paleontology, botany, and history. Participants are encouraged to take their time identifying and appreciating natural elements. Participants should bring plenty of water, sun protection, comfortable hiking shoes, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing, and binoculars. There will be a limited number of binoculars to borrow for participants without a personal pair. Bring your mind, maybe a buddy, and enjoy the biodiversity of our beautiful desert biome.
Explore the wonders of the sky - even during the day! Join us for a FREE hands-on activity that reveals the science, stories, and sights above us. A fun, engaging, and educational activity for all ages will be included. Program will be held at the Birthplace Unit of the park.

Stop by anytime from 1:30pm to 2:30pm to learn more about the animals, history, and geology of Colorado National Monument with this hands on program. This program is great for all ages. It will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, this program moves inside to the exhibit hall. The first railroad to cross the Allegheny Mountains, the Allegheny Portage Railroad was the final piece of the Pennsylvania Main Line Canal. "The Portage" opened in 1834, marking the first time that there was one, direct route between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. All things to all people, it served merchants, passengers, slaves in pursuit of freedom, and soldiers from the Mexican War.

American Memorial Park honors the American and Marianas people who gave their lives during the Marianas Campaign of World War II. At the park, memorials stand in tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the US Servicemen and Chamorro and Carolinian civilians who were killed in the battles between the United States and Japan that took place on Saipan, Tinian, and the Philippine Sea in 1944.

An oasis in the desert, Amistad National Recreation Area consists of the US portion of the International Amistad Reservoir. Amistad, a Spanish word meaning "friendship," is known for excellent water-based recreation, camping, hiking, and rich cultural history dating back nearly 5,000 years. Amistad is also home to a wide variety of plant and animal life both above and below the water.

Nearly 13,000 men died on these grounds, a site that became infamous even before the Civil War ended. Their burial grounds became Andersonville National Cemetery, where veterans continue to be buried today. This place, where tens of thousands suffered captivity so others could be free, is also home to the National Prisoner of War Museum and serves as a memorial to all American prisoners of war.

23,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or missing after twelve hours of savage combat on September 17, 1862. The Battle of Antietam ended the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia's first invasion into the North and led Abraham Lincoln to issue the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation.

Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, located at the northern tip of Wisconsin's Bayfield Peninsula, features 21 stunning islands, a scenic 12-mile shoreline along Lake Superior, and is located within the ancestral homeland of the Ojibwe people. Established in 1970, the park showcases picturesque sea caves, sandy beaches, and the largest collection of lighthouses in the National Park system.
