Real Conversations, Real Data
TrailVerse gives Claude live NPS data — road closures, weather, crowds, fees — plus constraint-aware itineraries for any US destination when you use Plan a trip.
Plan a Trip

Live conditions check
Claude pulls real-time road closures and alerts before planning — Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road are closed, so it routes around them automatically.

Actionable itinerary
Packing lists based on real weather, driving time warnings, and Google Maps links for each day of your trip.
Compare Parks

Side-by-side with live data
Real-time temperature, crowd levels, entry fees, and top activities pulled from both parks at once.

Opinionated recommendation
Not just data — Claude picks the better option for your situation with kid-friendly trails, heat risk, and specific reasons why.
Search & Park Details

Browse parks by state
Ask “what parks are in Washington state?” and get all 17 NPS sites — ranked with insider takes on what makes each one worth visiting.

Deep dive on any park
“Tell me more about Olympic” pulls live weather, active road closures, fire impacts, and current conditions — not stale training data.
Find Events

Ranger programs and special events
Daily ranger talks, guided rim walks, comedy nights, and film screenings — with times, locations, and whether they’re free.

Context when there’s nothing scheduled
No events? Claude explains why and suggests what you can still do — self-guided stops, dark sky windows, and heat safety tips.

Your Data, Transparently
What leaves Claude
When you use a TrailVerse tool, Claude sends the tool parameters (park name, state, dates, your trip request) to our server. For multi-turn trip planning, the messages within that planning session are sent to enable follow-ups like “now add day 4.” Sessions expire after 2 hours. No Claude account data, billing info, or unrelated conversation history is transmitted.
What we log
We log tool calls (park code, timestamp) for rate limiting and reliability monitoring. No personally identifiable information is stored. Logs are retained for 30 days.
Data source
NPS catalog data from the National Park Service API (nps.gov) and weather from OpenWeatherMap. Non-NPS trip planning may also use live web context. We do not sell or share any data.
Limits
Free to use with generous tool limits. Park details, search, compare, and events cover the NPS catalog; Plan a trip also works for state parks, cities, and road trips. For saved trips, PDF export, and the visual Plan Workspace, use Trailie on the website.
